Where am I now?

Training...

After years of working in a "rendering" mind set, I've come to a point where I see my old work as "mushy." Especially with photoshop (see my early posts). It's too easy for me to blend-blend-blend. Over the summer I assigned myself new projects in different styles. Many of which are hard edge value studies, and straight or long fluid line sketching.

I am looking to use more line weight, form, and structure, in various ways. I am looking to describe the form without blending, instead, using hard edges to find new shapes and edges.

I want to explore the textures I may find along the process rather than relying on downloaded brushes (or whatever).

(I'm not giving up my downloaded textures however.)
